Verdict

MANAAR sets the standard on her Newbury success on debut and her runner-up effort at the same venue when the form was reversed by Miss Scott. The step up in trip is unlikely to be an issue and William Haggas' filly has been found a suitable opportunity before potentially going up in class. Arrivera should stay and is entitled to build on her Lingfield second, while It Would Be You is an interesting contender based on her fifth in the Grade 2 mares' bumper at Aintree.

MANAAR has already shown useful form, winning at Newbury over 9f on debut before finishing second over 10f there last time, with that form subsequently franked. William Haggas has won the last two renewals and, with further improvement likely over this further extended trip, she looks the one to beat in the Shadwell colours. Arrivera found a mile too stiff on debut but improved when stepped up to 10f at Lingfield and should have more to offer now tackling an even longer trip. Lunella has progressed with racing and subsequent step up in trips, shaping well when runner-up over 12f last time, so she can make her presence felt again.
