Verdict

Livy's Lad has obvious form claims having won and placed at Southwell before the turn of the year, but he was beaten at odds-on last time and reportedly made a respiratory noise. As a result, a chance is taken on FLASH IN THE PARK. He is just 1lb higher than when scoring at Southwell in December and wasn't disgraced when chasing home an in-form mare at the same venue earlier this month. Hobie might fare best of the remainder.

FLASH IN THE PARK can defy top weight here. He chased home a progressive rival last time last time and is now just 1lb above his last winning mark. He should get a decent pace to aim at with Livy's Lad in the line up. That rival was a cosy winner on debut and held his form in defeat last time despite being ridden a bit too aggressively. He looks the obvious danger ahead of Hobie who has been below par on his last couple of starts but is now just 1lb higher than when winning in the autumn.
