Verdict

ANNANDALE notched his sixth career win on turf with a relatively cosy success over 1m3f here last week and is an attractive proposition to follow up under a 4lb penalty. The additional couple of furlongs won't be an issue for this proven stayer, who is an ideal type for an event such as this. Uncle Liam was a well-held fifth behind the selection last week, but is unexposed over the trip and is a feasible improver. Falaise Blanc is a reasonable alternative.

Watch out for: Uncle Liam (5)

ANNANDALE has returned to form of late culminating in a win last time. He carries a 4lb penalty but has won off higher marks in the past and is fancied to follow up on favourable quick ground. Uncle Liam has been in fine form here of late and his last run is worth marking up as he went too fast. If he stays this extra distance he can chase the selection home ahead of Animato who has tumbled down the weights in both codes.
