Verdict

It's hard to get away from GREY SOUL, who made it two wins from his last three starts when accounting for Orchard (third) over track and trip at the start of the month. Off just a 3lb higher mark, he remains the one to beat. Bold Impact produced a better effort when third in a class 4 event at Chepstow and he will appreciate this further drop in grade.

Watch out for: Bold Impact (2)

Bold Impact has still to win a handicap but he's settled on a fair mark now and is coming off a good run when third at Chepstow. The selection, though, is GREY SOUL. who has won two of his last three, including over C&D last time when tried in the retained cheekpieces. He's gone up just 3lb and can follow up. Orchard has a 3lb pull with the selection for only 1l and should be bang there once more.
