Verdict

There was a lot to like about GROVE STREET's debut effort at Sandown when filling the runner-up spot and a repeat of that performance is more than likely to suffice on this occasion. Better is expected from Avionics after he pulled too hard on his latest start at Ffos Las, while newcomer Talamon has to be of interest being a half-brother to Grade 1 winner Fev Rover.

Watch out for: Talamon (5)

A good maiden can go to GROVE STREET who only just failed to reel in a previous winner on debut and that rival has followed up since at Listed level. Avionics sets the standard on ratings based on his penultimate effort and will prove the main danger if able to put a recent poor run behind him. La Bassette never had any chance at a sharp track in a race dominated from the front on debut but should do much better here. She can chase the pair home at a respectable distance.
