The bumper division has not been all that strong this season, but A Dream To Share has emerged on his last 2 starts as the best in it, by a bit rather than a lot, and this form is probably at least useful despite quite a bunched finish (there were traffic problems approaching the final 1f). The overall time stacks up quite well on ground that was softening due to rain, though a few where going freely until past halfway. Despite those appearances, the pace was decent, with the first 3 a bit quicker than par late on but the majority of the next 9 home reasonably close to it.
A DREAM TO SHARE (f145 here and previously) confirmed himself the best horse in this division, albeit narrowly, with another decidedly useful effort, held up towards the rear and still well back until making good headway over 2f out, ridden to lead 1f out and staying on well, well ridden by his young jockey. By the sprinter Muhaarar (who has got plenty who stay much better than he did), it remains to be seen if he will get much further than this.
FACT TO FILE (f143 here, 138 previously) came off second-best to A Dream To Share but closed the gap a bit and looks at least as good a prospect for hurdles as that one, held up, though a few positions ahead of his main rival, moving up at about the same time but edging left and getting hampered when disputing the lead approaching the final 1f, and doing well to get balanced and going again thereafter.
CAPTAIN TEAGUE (f141 here, 123 previously) was the only one of the Brits to make the first 11, showing a whole load of improvement from his Plumpton win and hinting at more to come, never far away and disputing the lead for a while approaching the final 1f, tending to wander at that point but getting going again late on.
LECKY WATSON (f136+ here, 125 previously) would have finished closer but for getting squeezed out approaching the final 1f, tracking the pace and travelling strongly before that, keeping on again at the death and outperforming all but one of his shorter-priced battalion of stable-companions.
IT’S FOR ME (f136 here, 136+ previously) came from a similar position to the winner but lacked that one’s speed, merely plugging on for pressure and matching the form of his Navan win. He appeals more than most as a hurdling prospect.
CAPTAIN CODY (f136 here, 124 previously) ran easily his best race yet, despite going a bit freely, disputing the lead 4f out and done with only in the final 1f.
WESTERN DIEGO (f128+ here, 129 previously) did well to finish where he did given how hard he pulled close up for a long way, and that he got hampered approaching the final 1f when still bang there. A point winner and a son of Westerner, he could prove decent over hurdles if his headstrong nature can be curbed.
NO TIME TO WAIT (f128 here, 129 previously) came from mid-to-rear to run to a similar level as on his previous starts in bumpers, a good base from which to launch a campaign as a novice hurdler next season.
LOUGHGLYNN (f126 here, 127 previously) was always around the same place, showing fairly useful form again. He had beaten a decent one the time before.
CHAPEAU DE SOLEIL (f124 here, 121 previously) passed a few late on without proving a threat, and looks a reasonable prospect for when he goes over jumps.
ENCANTO BRUNO (f117 here, 124 previously) shaped a bit better than the result, quite close up for a long way, weakening late on.
QUEENS GAMBLE (f109 here, 124 previously) never looked like getting competitive from the rear but made a few late gains, below the form she had shown previously.
FASCILE MODE (f116 here, 129 previously) was always around the same position.
FAVOUR AND FORTUNE (f113 here, 127 previously) moved up a bit on the inner approaching the closing stages before fading.
FUN FUN FUN (f104 here, 134 previously) ran poorly, never better than mid-to-rear, and is better judged on what she did when winning at Leopardstown.
