Verdict

All of these have claims, but preference is for TOMMIE BEAU. The 11-year-old had plenty in hand when winning over this trip at Fakenham three weeks ago and a 5lb rise should be workable. My Bobby Dazzler followed his Hereford triumph with a Haydock second last time and could prove to be the main threat, ahead of If Not For Dylan.

TOMMIE BEAU snapped a long losing run last time and remains very well treated on his best form despite a 5lb rise. He has a good record at this venue which he can continue at the expense of Fairlawn Flyer who also likes the track. That rival has dropped back to this last winning mark and hinted at a revival last time over an inadequate trip. He should come on for that outing and play a huge role along with My Bobby Dazzler. The Melanie Rowley gelding has some slight enthusiasm concerns but arrives in form and remains on a workable mark.
