Expert View Verdict

Verdict

ALPINE SIERRA's winning run came to an end when well held in the Cumberland Plate but this isn't anywhere near as competitive and he is expected to make a swift return to the winner's enclosure. Covert Legend made a pleasing return to action at the Curragh recently and looks the most likely threat to the selection, whilst Valley Of Flowers is next best.

Watch out for: Covert Legend (4)

There are question marks over most of these and VALLEY OF FLOWERS is tentative selection. She is consistent but not the most convincing in a finish. Covert Legend is similarly a consistent sort and ran well in an apprentice event in Ireland last time and should contend and Alpine Sierra has an obvious chance having run-up a hat-trick before finding the ground too fast last time.
