Fane Court was not disgraced when a seven-length third over C&D last Friday and he comes into calculations, but FINAL ENTRY seems the one on an upward curve. With no stamina issues after winning narrowly over much further at Newton Abbot, he showed a willing attitude that day and could shrug off the extra 4lb. Hardy Buck appears best of the remainder.
FINAL ENTRY won a better race than this last time and has been thriving since being upped to staying trips. He remains well treated on his novice form so is chosen to follow up at the expense of the frustrating Hardy Buck who is on a workable mark but has enthusiasm concerns. Ikigai Star is another who has dropped to an attractive mark and he hinted at a revival in the spring. If his stamina holds up over this longer trip he should also go close but that is a big concern.
