Verdict

Guinness Lad won well over C&D last week and commands respect. However, that was his 19th career start in total and he wouldn't be one to trust implicitly bidding for back-to-back successes under the terms of this race. Of more appeal is GEARING'S POINT, who has placed in three of her four starts at this venue. Dubai Harbour and Nymphaea are others with reasonable chances.

A chance is taken that LAWN RANGER is well treated if building on his recent revival on the AW. The course specialist is entitled to come on for that outing and will appreciate the easy ground on his turf return. Panthere Noir proved his stamina here last time and will be the biggest threat if building on that. Dubai Harbour will appreciate the step back up in distance and isn't ruled out either.
