Verdict

HALIMEDE looks to have an ideal chance of landing the hat-trick. Sir Mark Prescott's progressive three-year-old supplemented an earlier Catterick success with a facile odds-on victory at Lingfield six days ago and is 3lb well in here, despite carrying a double penalty. Recobella has been in fine form over 1m2f at Ayr recently and makes more appeal than Prince Achille of the remaining pair.

This should go to the filly HALIMEDE, who has notched two quick wins in succession and holds strong claims of landing the hat-trick despite a double penalty. She's a typical improver from the yard. Recobella won't be a pushover, though, as she's been in fine form and should have gone in again at Ayr just the other day. The longer trip here looks a plus. Prince Achille is expected to finish last of the three runners.
