Verdict

It would be naive to ignore the chances of Cotai Belle, who was fourth in a better race at York but two lengths adrift of OOLONG POOBONG. Ed Bethell's filly ought to confirm that form on these terms, even though there may not be much between them. Proposal gets in off bottom weight and returns to the distance of her Doncaster maiden success, making her a serious danger to all for the Haggas team.

FIGJAM has been below form on her last two starts but is a proven performer at pattern level and remains capable of winning a race at this grade, so is worth a chance dropping another level in handicaps. Cotai Belle has been in good form and, despite her run of four successive seconds ending last time having finished fourth at York, can go well again dropped in grade. Perfect Part was beaten five lengths in a stronger handicap at York last time but is back down in class and, on a fair mark, can go well again having previously run well here in the spring.
