Verdict

Punters should stick with CHER MONSIEUR, who built on an encouraging chasing debut to win at Plumpton a fortnight ago. Neil Mulholland's charge should still have lots more to offer and appears to have been found another good opportunity. Nazare let favourite-backers down at Ludlow but he could do better with that experience under his belt, whilst Manowest is next best.

A tight contest where all of the field can be given a chance. Cher Monsieur is likely to prove popular following a last time out win but the race did fall apart that day and it may not be run to suit here. NAZARE tired late after a series of errors on his chase debut but he ran well for a long way and should appreciate the drop in trip. He was a 2 1/2m hurdles winner here off this mark and can defeat chase debutant Manowest. That rival is well treated on his best hurdle form but will need a stiff test at the trip.
