Verdict

BAI TONG couldn't land a telling blow on debut at Thirsk but is entitled to have improved from that effort and could be worth another chance for a yard known for having winning juveniles at this time of year. Redcar fifth Cheeky Chesca boasts a similar profile to the selection and is one to note, but the main danger is The Can Can Queen following her creditable Beverley display.

BAI TONG was slightly disappointing given her short odds on debut but she wasn't entirely disgraced and is clearly thought capable of much better. She is chosen take a big step forward and defeat Crimson Blaze who is another who was a beaten favourite last time. However she shaped well on her only start prior to that and should be competitive if back to that level of form. The Can Can Queen went too fast when midfield on debut but should also be thereabouts if ridden a bit more conservatively.
