Verdict

Speyside is respected on the form of his opening third at Goodwood, although he was disappointing in the Convivial at York and connections now feel the need to apply a tongue-tie. As a result, some of the newcomers make greater appeal, with EL WAABIL topping the list. This Baaeed colt cost 175,000gns at the Tattersalls October Book 2 yearlings sale last year and he is certainly bred to have plenty of ability, being a half-brother to six winners, including the Listed-placed Dan. Golden Souk, The Can Can Man and Sea The Sense are also of interest.
