A well-run contest, in which two decidedly smart individuals came clear, and it represents, alongside the bumper won by A Dream To Share at the Dublin Racing Festival (slightly ahead of the Cheltenham Champion Bumper), the best form in this division this season and some of the best bumper form in years. A 98% finishing speed underlines that it was a good test, despite the ground being close to “good” by this stage.
A DREAM TO SHARE (f150 here and previously) has had a tremendous season, winning his fifth race out of 5 and cementing his status as one of the best bumper horses of recent years, a credit to the handling of his trainer and his young jockey. He was held up off the good pace, made steady headway to be second over 2f out, edged right when challenging under pressure approaching the final 1f but soon asserted and stayed on well. A son of Champion Sprinter Muhaarar, he is not especially a jumper on looks, but he does have bags of ability.
TULLYHILL (f145 here, 133+ previously) looks an excellent prospect for jumps (already a point winner) having come clear of the rest in going down only to a smart and experienced rival. He raced prominently, led over 2f out, was bumped and headed approaching the final 1f then continued to stay on despite finding the winner too strong. He should stay at least 20f.
KING OF KINGSFIELD (f135 here, 126 previously) ran his best race, much better than at Leopardstown over Christmas, with no excuses, coming from the rear and briefly short of room before merely keeping on. A mix on breeding, he looks like staying further.
A PIECE OF HEAVEN (f127 here, 116 previously) came from mid-to-rear to have a chance over 2f out before one paced, improving a fair bit on the form of his only previous run in the process.
IT’S FOR ME (f124 here, 136 previously) went too freely, leading mid-race, and failed to repeat his previous form.

WESTERN DIEGO (f0 here, 129 previously) stopped quickly after leading until nearly halfway, clearly not himself.
