A disappointing turnout numerically – the smallest field in recent history – and the form is probably just useful for all that the first 3 have something to recommend them individually. It was run at a slow pace (no sectionals available) with the winner’s time almost 2.0s slower than the older handicap which followed.

GEZORA (105 here and previously) might not have improved on previous form (won G3 at 2 years and 3rd in similar here in April) to run out a ready winner, settled in 3rd before improving 400m out, disputing the lead 100m later and getting gradually on top thereafter. She should stay a bit further for all this was not much of a test.

AUDUBON PARK (102+ here and previously) was priced up on potential mor than achievement and ran creditably with the possibility of better still to come, never all that far away, shaken up 500m out and disputing the lead for a while but edging right and no extra late on (not knocked about late).

FLAMING STONE (100 here, 105 previously) got the run of things up front and could have been expected to do better, not far behind the Pouliches 3rd Mandanaba the time before.
