We could be all set for a Royal winner at HQ as FOOD FOR THOUGHT looks to have been found a good opening to get back in the winning groove. She won readily at Nottingham in June, albeit in a three-runner race, and just got touched off by a handicap debutant of William Haggas' at Salisbury last time. Ralph Beckett's filly is the obvious pace angle in here and she might prove a tough nut to crack if getting it easy on the front end. Thaluna and Hollywell Stream will keep her honest, and Valkyrie Storm will be out to put her superior experience to good use.

This looks a straightforward opening for FOOD FOR THOUGHT, who is a well-bred filly on the up and goes from the same mark as when runner-up at Salisbury last time. She bumped into a similarly unexposed improver then and this looks easier. Hollywell Stream looks the danger if settling better than when only beaten one home on her handicap debut at Yarmouth, while Thaluna has a good run in her up to 10f for the first time but lacks the potential of the selection.
