Verdict

DEBRIEF broke his maiden in cosy fashion at Brighton and is now sent handicapping from what is potentially a workable mark. Harry Eustace's colt is the real unknown quantity in this field and might have too much for the likes of recent Yarmouth scorer Adalida. Goldwork failed to back up a promising Newmarket effort at Epsom, but a first-time tongue-tie might elicit some improvement.

DEBRIEF may have been a bit flattered by the rating he achieved when shedding his maiden tag last time but the form has had several boosts since so he is chosen to make a winning handicap debut. 6f on fast ground look his ideal conditions and he could be able to dictate here. Espona Bay has proven admirably consistent for some time and will have no issue with the drop back in trip. He looks the chief threat ahead of the inconsistent Goldwork who looks fairly treated on bits and pieces of form including his penultimate run.
