Verdict

A maiden winner at Beverley, LOVERS LEAP has improved with every start in handicaps. The daughter of Lope De Vega finished a close second at Newmarket last time and looks set to strike off her current mark. There could be more to come from Kaori on the back of her respectable third in first-time cheekpieces at Leicester, while the admirably consistent Buckland Belle is no forlorn hope, despite a 3lb rise for winning at Bath.

Watch out for: Kaori (2)

The inconsistent KAORI can gain a first victory. She probably hit the front too soon last time but bounced back to form when returned to 1m in cheekpieces and she should get a lead for longer in this. The consistent Buckland Belle is likely to go off in front and she has only gone up 2lb for her latest victory where she showed a willing attitude so looks the obvious threat. Sunshine And Roses failed to stay 10f last time but was in excellent form prior to that and can also play a part in the finish.
