OFFIAH'S BOY went agonisingly close over 1m2f at Bath on Friday and dropping back a furlong could be a very good move here. Best when on the front end, the well-handicapped five-year-old could be hard to reel in if this doesn't come too quickly. Gert Lush is another on a competitive mark and is a must for the shortlist, while Monks Mead also commands respect.

OFFIAH'S BOY returned to form stepping back down in trip when narrowly denied at Bath last time and, with his yard in good shape, looks capable of going close again from the same mark over slightly shorter again. Gert Lush also showed more when finishing second at Ffos Las and, with proven form over this trip, can continue her revival. Monks Mead is a consistent performer at this track and shaped well when fourth here last time, so should be firmly in the mix in a race of this nature.
