Verdict

Paddy Twomey has struck with a couple of juvenile debutants this season and his newcomer CHURCHILL BOND may be another. If all goes well, the daughter of Pinatubo has the Lowther at York and Moyglare at the Curragh as possible future targets. Those lofty entries suggest this filly is highly regarded and any market support ahead of her introduction should be noted. Placed on her last three starts, the Jim Bolger-trained Sea Of Rain has acquired plenty of racing experience and currently sets the standard. Citrus Springs was well beaten on her debut at Listowel but her stable runners generally tend to come on from their first run. She is the pick of the rest.

SEA OF RAIN has produced a string of solid efforts in her first four starts and was only narrowly denied over C&D last time. This doesn't look any stronger than races she has contested already and she can finally get off the mark given her experience compared to the others here. Churchill Bond is a well-bred, expensive breeze-up purchase by Pinatubo from a yard with an excellent record with juveniles and commands plenty of respect on debut. Showcasing filly Villaray is another well-bred newcomer from a stable that knows how to ready its youngsters and is another to note first time out.
