Verdict

Mike Des Mottes sets the standard following a very promising fourth on his racecourse bow at Leopardstown earlier in the year. That said, preference is for LINFORD, who lacks race experience but is closely related to plenty of winners and can make a winning debut for top connections. Lucky Signal is surely better that what he showed at Leopardstown, while any market support for Kolirisk De Couely would have to be noted.

Watch out for: Mike Des Mottes (8)

Linford is from a top yard that does well in these races and he could easily be good enough on debut - he's sure to be well fancied in the market - but it's MIKE DES MOTTES who appeals most having showed up well on his debut at Leopardstown. Any improvement can see him off the mark. Lucky Signal didn't show much on debut but is now with Gordon Elliott and can suely do better.
