Expert View Verdict

Verdict

High Point ended his time under the tutelage of Ross Burdon with a victory on soft ground at Yarmouth and a 4lb higher mark looks fair. However, the son of New Bay does appear to be more effective with some cut in the ground, so SECRET FORCE makes more appeal. The four-year-old arrives on the back of a career-best triumph over hurdles at Cartmel and he looks capable of scoring reverting to the Flat. Dunkeld Dreamer is another to consider at this level.

Watch out for: High Point (2)

WOOTTON'S GAL finished second two starts back and, though back down in form when fourth of five runners last time out, could improve again if she can deal with the trip. Gentle Warrior hasn't won since the autumn but has been placed a few times since then and, if forgiven a couple of lacklustre recent runs, could knock on the door again. High Point scored at Yarmouth last month but will need to prove that wasn't fluke as his career has been generally inconsistent.
