Verdict

Seven-year-old UXMAL will be making just his 12th start and clearly hasn't been the easiest to keep right, but the 2024 Queen Alexandra winner has been found a good opportunity. The Galileo gelding comes into this on the back of a good run in Listed company at Limerick and won't have any issues with easy ground. Taipan is going for three in a row in this and could be dangerous from the front once again. Teed Up was around eight lengths in front of Galileo Dame in the amateur handicap here on Monday, but the latter gets a huge pull at the weights in the renewal of rivalry.

Joseph O'Brien looks to hold a strong hand with two runners, but UXMAL is taken to come out on top after returning to form when third in Listed company at Limerick. A proven performer over staying trips and with his trainer in good form, he should be competitive again. Teed Up shaped well back in this sphere when third here last time and, with that effort suggesting he retains plenty of ability, could split the O'Brien pair. Galileo Dame has the benefit of a first-time cheekpieces and is generally capable despite a long losing run, but needs to bounce back from a below-par effort.
