Verdict

Moab hit the frame in a handicap at the Punchestown Festival back in April and was far from disgraced on the level at Salisbury recently. Although he does set the form standard, NOVELISTA might prove too strong. Warren Greatrex's gelding was useful on the Flat and hit the woodwork in a similar contest at Southwell in the spring. Perhaps crucially, he's open to further improvement in this sphere, of which he wouldn't need a great deal to score. Downtown Nashville heads the remainder.

A strong maiden where Moab sets the standard on form following a placed effort in a hot handicap at Punchestown in the spring. He arrives fit from the Flat so holds fair claims but his battling qualities are of slight concern. The class angle in the race is NOVELISTA who was a useful handicapper over staying trips on the Flat. He was backed on both hurdle starts in the spring and the form of those races has been franked emphatically. Though he may find the ground on the quick side he should have too much class for this line up. Downtown Nashville shaped with promise on both bumper runs this summer and the ex pointer is a likely improver now stepping up in trip on his hurdling debut. He should also be bang there at the finish.
