Verdict

JOHN HARRISON didn't appear to see out 1m2f at Newmarket, but the form of his earlier Salisbury third has been franked by the runner-up and this doesn't appear to be as deep a contest. Ed Walker has his string in fine fettle so handicap newcomer Brave New World must enter the reckoning, especially seeing as his pedigree would suggest he should prove much better than an opening mark of 59. Port Louis is also noted.

The consistent JOHN HARRISON flattened out when upped to 10f last time but can gain some compensation back at 1m. His previous run has been boosted and he looks well treated racing off the same mark here. Brave New World left his previous form behind on his final qualifying run when looking in need of this step up to 1m. He can chase the selection home ahead of The Stone Power who had a valid excuse last time but was consistent previously.
