Verdict

IMPERIAL CULT has won three of his last four starts and even in the defeat, which came here, he was beaten less than a length. George Baker's gelding escapes a penalty for his most recent apprentice handicap triumph and is expected to continue his fine run of form. Two Plus Two is likely to set the pace and it would be very dangerous to give him too much rope, while Stage Show might prove to be the next best.

Another good opening for IMPERIAL CULT, who seems the be in the form of his life at the age of seven, winning three of his last four starts, and the step back up to 12f won't be an issue. He's a former course winner too which is by no means a bad thing around here. Dream Harder hasn't beaten a rival in two starts this season so is hard to be confident in, so perhaps Two Plus Two, dropping in trip, could emerge as a greater threat.
