Verdict

ROSIE FRITH is a 5f specialist and recorded her fourth win when landing a Curragh handicap three weeks ago. The Cotai Glory filly has been found wanting at stakes level a couple of times, but is well worth another shot at a black-type contest. Likedbymike gained a confidence-boosting win at Naas and was twice runner-up at this level earlier in the season, including when chasing home Kendall Roy here in June. She's 3lb better off with that rival and might be able to reverse placings. Brussels hasn't matched his juvenile exploits this term, but can't be ruled out dropping down significantly in grade.

The progressive GAZELLE D'OR has proven herself up to this level recently and is fancied to gain a first victory of the year. She was just outstayed late over 6f last time so this drop in trip will suit and the easier ground won't be an issue. Kendall Roy had no chance after missing the break in the Shergar Cup last time but he's already a C&D winner at this level this year. He can chase the selection home ahead of Brussels who has regressed this year but faces his easiest task for some time.
