Verdict

OMICRONE (2) is a lot better than her recent form figures. Formerly rated as high as 43.5, she has often been seen under less-than-ideal conditions, mostly on ground that did not suit. Back over her optimum trip, on fast ground she relishes, and against her own sex, she is taken to return to winning ways. The fitting of cheek- pieces could also have a positive effect. THE SHADOW (5) has been a model of consistency and is a proven performer at this level and around Compiegne, making her the main threat. ZAWAN (3) and PLACEHOLDER (15) both had trouble in running when last seen and are capable of bouncing back. ZASYMOKA (9) makes up the shortlist.
