Verdict

Title holder GAME OF STORM (1) won the Grand Steeple-Chase de Compiegne (Grade 2) in October, finishing ahead of WHYMPER (3), with CELTIC WARRIOR (2) back in third. The latter had beaten the selection prior to that, and these three renew their rivalry in what promises to be a fascinating race. The Nicolle-trained gelding gets the vote on a track he clearly enjoys. WORLD APART (7) scored over hurdles in a Class 2 at Auteuil on February 23 and could also have a say now returning to fences.
