Verdict

VELOCIRAPTOR will likely prove a warm order on the strength of his promising debut effort at Newmarket. A respectable third behind a Ballydoyle hotpot and a representative of Godolphin, Hugo Palmer's charge is taken to the most of this easier opportunity and open his account. Storm Blade also faced a tougher test when fifth at Sandown last time and can make his presence felt, while Sea Idol may prove best of the remainder.

Lope Y Fernandez colt VELOCIRAPTOR shaped with plenty of promise when third on debut at Newmarket and, with that experience under his belt, looks to have a strong chance of opening his account for local trainer Hugo Palmer. Sea Idol looks the type to progress with experience under his belt and, with Sir Mark Prescott’s juveniles often improving for their runs, looks a major player. Storm Blade was still showing signs of greenness at Sandown but represents an Andrew Balding yard that won this race last year, and he is also entitled to improve now he's got a couple of races behind him.
