Expert View Verdict

Verdict

LION OF PERSIA produced an improved display when filling the runner-up spot at Catterick last month and has been gelded since. An opening mark of 61 might prove to be lenient and he looks the one to side with. Crystal Kraken was beaten two lengths into second over track and trip earlier in the month and is likely to be on the premises again, while Naval Cop is another to note.

CRYSTAL KRAKEN has gone close on both of her handicap starts so far and can gain a deserved victory here. She gets to race off the same mark as when runner up last time and that run is worth marking up as she missed the break. Lion Of Persia left his previous form behind on his final qualifying run and looks to have been given a fair opening mark based on that. He can pose the biggest challenge ahead of Naval Cop who is a likely improver now handicapping for good connections.
