Just a useful handicap, but with Grade 2 listing. It was run at good pace with a 99% finishing speed from 2 out. There was trouble on the run-in but for which Super Six would have been second without the intervention of the stewards.

CARIBEAN BOY (c147 here, 147? previously) returned to his best following a further wind operation, difficult to predict these days (pulled up in 3 of his 7 most recent starts before this) but very useful still. He raced in touch, jumping a bit to his left at times, got tapped for toe 3 out but rallied well to lead on the run-in, drawing on near the finish.

SUPER SIX (c128+ here, 132 previously) should have been a clear second, held up in touch and tapped for toe 3 out, improving at the next and in with a chance when almost put through the temporary rail on the run-in, getting going again by the line. A one-time useful bumper performer, he is quite well treated over fences and possibly at his best away from the mud.

GEMIRANDE (c136 here and previously) ran creditably, leading/disputing the lead but drifting left early on the run-in and soon headed, subsequently demoted.

HERBIERS (c139 here and previously) ran to form, tracking the pace then having every chance from 2 out until on the run-in, this trip probably a maximum for him.

DEYRANN DE CARJAC (c118 here, 129 previously) was never really going.

PRESENTANDCOUNTING (c125+ here, 135 previously) shaped encouragingly after a 194-day break, improving smoothly to have every chance after 3 out, only to find no extra from the next. As good over hurdles, most of his form is at around 20f on somewhere near good going.

COOLE CODY (c124 here, 136 previously) helped force the pace for a long way. A fine servant, he was retired after this effort.

CILAOS EMERY (c113 here, 142? previously)

HELTENHAM (c0 here, 130+ previously) was awkward at the 5^th and fell at the next.

UNANSWERED PRAYERS (c0 here, 127 previously) had broken a blood vessel the time before and ran poorly here.

ZHIGULI (c0 here, 128 previously) was awkward at the 4^th, his jockey losing a stirrup, and pulled up after the next.

CAPTAIN TOM CAT (c0 here, 130 previously) was in touch when unseating at the 10^th.
