Stall two could be beneficial for NATIVE INSTINCT as he bids to follow up a cosy success at Musselburgh off just 3lb higher. This is no tougher and another bold bid can be expected with his yard riding on the crest of a wave just now. Recent Doncaster winner Commander Of Life hasn't fared so well with the draw but could still have an impact if he breaks sharply, while Lord Bertie is potentially well handicapped and is a notable each-way alternative.
NATIVE INSTINCT returned to form on good ground when scoring by little more than a length at Musselburgh last time and remains on a competitive mark from just 3lb higher. With conditions in his favour again and the Ed Bethell yard in form, he can follow up. Commander Of Life has also been in good form, winning at Doncaster last time and, although a 5lb rise demands more, he can go well again. King Of Fury has won his last two and is another in excellent form, while Michael Dods' yard won this race last year, but he needs to translate his recent AW form back to turf.
