Verdict

This is a good opportunity for ROGUE IMPERIAL. Archie Watson's colt put a lacklustre Ffos Las performance behind him to finish an agonising second in a Lingfield nursery, and compensation awaits now in maiden company. I Am Royal is related to a few decent sprinters and is worth more than a cursory glance ahead of his debut, while Roll Up Raymond appeals most of the remainder.

I Am Royal is a newcomer of significance and the booking of Billy Loughnane signals intent, but for now it's best to side with ROGUE IMPERIAL, who has been performing to a consistent level and looks a big player back in maiden company here - he was a good second in a Lingfield handicap latest. Roll Up Raymond is the danger on form with him having shaped well at Newmarket's July course on debut. Improvement is likely.
