Verdict

Marsh Benham would have an obvious chance if lining up after Friday's Salisbury exertions, but MY OLD MATE gets the nod. He won impressively under Billy Loughnane at Windsor and was too keen for his own good when beaten under Jude Fernandes at Lingfield subsequently. With a red-hot Loughnane back in the saddle, he could take some stopping. Danehill Star is better than he showed here latest.

MY OLD MATE has been in good form, completing a double winning by four lengths at Windsor before finishing third by one and a half lengths on his latest start. He can remain competitive despite being 2lb higher again here. Marsh Benham arrives in good nick after having hit the frame in second here before scoring by three parts of a length at Sandown and can follow up despite a 4lb rise. Danehill Star was below form when returning to a mile here last time but had been consistent beforehand and remains fairly treated, so can bounce back in a race of this nature.
