Expert View Verdict

Verdict

Four-time course winner Voodoo Ray lurks on an appealing mark and if bouncing back to form, he could have a say. Fai Fai failed to justify favouritism when well beaten at Lingfield and might be worth another chance, but the vote goes to RAINBOW SIGN. Mark Pattinson's eight-year-old showed more when fourth over a mile at Bath in April and this looks a good opportunity to return to winning ways.

Watch out for: Voodoo Ray (9)

Few of these appeal as being solid but BANKSMAN should have finished closer over 1m here last time, getting no run late when keeping on, and he's a token selection in a weak race. Barnsnape Boy hasn't been at his best of late but is down to a fair mark as a result and he warrants consideration, as does Rainbow Sign, a bit too keen over 1m last time and likely to be suited to the drop in trip here.
