Verdict

The introduction of cheekpieces proved just the ticket for Star Suepreme when opening her account over an extended 1m here recently. However, the three-year-old has yet to prove her stamina over this far and fellow penalised winner SNOOKER MCCREW gets the vote. Max Comley's charge arrives on the back of a two-length victory at Kempton and retained rider Alfie Redman negates a 5lb penalty with his claim. Dash Of Class could also feature reverting to quicker ground.

Watch out for: Star Suepreme (4)

A competitive enough handicap, it can go to STAR SUEPREME, who is coming off a 50-1 success over slightly shorter at the course last time. Wearing first-time cheekpieces then, he retains potential and could follow up. Snooker McCrew, who showed a good attitude to win at Kemptoon last time, is respected back on turf and rates the danger, although Tiberio Force was in winning form himself at Ripon. That was in a classified, though, and he needs more back in a handicap.
