THORNABY ANNIE had excuses when underperforming at Nottingham due to racing too keenly. The daughter of Galileo Gold had been in fine fettle prior to that, with a brace of placed efforts over this distance coming before a 1m Wetherby success, and she is more than capable of bouncing back. The Sweet Escape gained a second career victory over C&D at the start of the month and commands plenty of respect, along with Viviana.
THORNABY ANNIE is easily forgiven her latest run where she was far too keen and met trouble late. She could settle better dropped back in distance and her recent victory has been boosted. She can defeat Viviana who was disappointing on her handicap debut but looks well treated based on her novice form. The Sweet Escape benefitted from a positive ride when a C&D winner last time and will be dangerous if allowed to dictate.
