Verdict

AL AASY is the class horse in the race and the multiple Group 3 winner should take some stopping judged on an encouraging comeback second in the John Porter at Newbury. By The Book struggled in Group 1 company at Meydan on his most recent outing in March, but his previous efforts at the same venue suggest that he is likely to be the main threat. The rest all need to improve, but Involvement is the pick of them.

By The Book struggled in the Sheema Classic last time but was progressive before that and he'll have much more of a chance at this level, but AL AASY is a highly reliable veteran who has conditions in his favour and sets the standard on his reappearance second in a Group 3 at Newbury. He could be at risk of getting caught out in a steadily run race with him ideally wanting a pace to aim at, but still rates much the most likely winner. Phantom Flight hasn't been at his best of late but there have been excuses and he was in Group 3-winning form back in April.
