MA JACKS HILL is still unexposed as a chaser and could be the one on these terms. The 5lb penalty picked up for winning at Punchestown in June is more than countered by Joshua Halford claiming 7lb from the saddle, which gives the six-year-old a solid chance at the weights. Addragoole has faced stiffer tests and is respected on that basis, while any support for the chasing debutant Bunting may prove significant. Switching to fences could open new doors for the Willie Mullins-trained gelding.
Bowensonfire holds strong claims based on his runner up effort at Galway on his chase debut where he was given too much to do. The useful handicap hurdler jumped well and will be winning soon in this sphere but he is declared at the weekend so may not be turned out quickly. Instead the verdict goes to 2025 Grand Annual winner JAZZY MATTY who was only narrowly denied in that contest in the spring. He ran a big race over hurdles next time at Aintree where he was just outstayed over 2 1/2m and can gain some compensation back over his optimum distance. Bunting proved frustrating over hurdles but he did keep some good company so could pose a threat if taking to chasing.
