CARLSTON (1) was a decent second over the track and trip on his penultimate start and a repeat of that run will make him a live contender despite a wide draw today. His biggest threat could be LUCERO (6), who ran a credible race when fifth at Cagnes-Sur-Mer in a Class 4 handicap late in February. HAUTE GAMME (2) has consistent from and looks like a safe option for the each-way backers to latch on to. MANNE (4) makes up the shortlist.
