Karl Burke (17 March 2026): "Poet Master - again he’s a seven-furlong horse and there are no races for these good seven-furlong horses. He will probably start at Thirsk, in April - it’s not a very valuable race for the type of horses it attracts, but it attracts them because there’s no races for them, which is a bit of a disgrace really. He’ll the go to Haydock for the two races, one Listed and then a Group 3 in May."

Karl Burke (20 March 2025): "He is in great form and has definitely improved but he is a seven-furlong horse and there are no seven-furlong races for him until the first week of May at Haydock. I was contemplating dropping him back to six and running him in the Cammidge Trophy at Doncaster, but he is not qualified having won a Group 2 last year. He is ready to go, working well and looks great but there is nowhere to go with him at the moment."

Karl Burke (18 March 2024): "He is working nicely and goes for a handicap at the end of the month on turf. He is very forward-going but was a sparsely made horse last year, but he has filled his frame a little bit now, even though he is on the light side. He can gallop, though, and I think seven furlongs is his trip."
