Joe Tizzard (12 October 2022): "The first race for him is the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury. He is still a novice and we might take him to Cheltenham in three weeks’ time and run him in a novice chase there. He is a second season chaser really even though he is still a novice and finished third in the Ultima at the Festival so proved he can handle those tough handicaps. We have just had his wind tweaked since last year - we found his wind was just stopping him. I am excited about him and I’m sure there is a big pot in him."
Colin Tizzard (04 April 2022): "He will run in the three-mile Betway Handicap Chase on Saturday, the race before the National. He ran an absolute blinder in the Ultima at Cheltenham, and I thought he was going to win two out and he just got collared late on. He was third behind Bravemansgame and Ahoy Senor in the Sefton Novices' Hurdle at Aintree last year and he just seems to thrive in the spring. He seems to have come out of the race really well and he has gone up 6lb for his run at Cheltenham and he is now 140 but there is no reason he can’t be competitive. That’s a mark he should be capable of winning one off and he seems to be going into the race with a lot of confidence after his Cheltenham run. You would have to give him a chance."
Colin Tizzard (02 March 2022): "I think he was going to run a huge race first time out behind Threeunderthrufive. We have just struggled with him since. He had a hard race at Huntingdon, and it just hasn’t quite happened. He has dropped to a mark of 134. He won’t get in an Ultima. I think we should take advantage of that. He is in the Kim Muir. He is really coming in his coat now. He looks well. He will have a spin around Wincanton on Thursday morning then I have got to start having a think about jockeys if we decide to go down that route. He’s an Albert Bartlett second now off 134, although he has a few questions to answer, if he does bounce back to himself, he could run a big race. He has jumped fine since that fall, but he hasn’t really finished his races so there is that. He has done plenty of schooling. He looked bit out of it in his coat in January, but you can now start to see his summer coat come through and he is blossoming now. We have got a bit too find but if he clicked back to Albert Bartlett form he should be capable. Hopefully we would be able to get one of the top boys. He is an Oscar so he wouldn’t mind a bit of decent ground. He looks better than he has looked for the last month so hopefully he is just coming to himself. He runs in a tongue tie, but his wind hasn’t been done."
