Stable Tour Quotes

Owen Burrows (31 August 2022): "We have just confirmed for the Sprint Cup at Haydock on Saturday. He needed that first run at York in May, and he came forward plenty for it. We tried the cheekpieces at Royal Ascot and rode him a bit more forward, but it didn’t work off a strong pace and he didn’t get home. We went back to what we know, and he went and won the Hackwood and then ran another big race in France in the Maurice de Gheest when second to Highfield Princess. Unfortunately, he injured himself in the stable in the December of his two-year-old year and we didn’t get him back until late on last year. We managed to get a run into him at the beginning of October and then we ran him on Champions Day where he ran a huge race to finish third. He has been Group 1 placed at two, three and four now and I would love him to get his head in front in one."

Owen Burrows (30 September 2021): "He will run on Saturday and is the Listed five-furlong race and in the Bengough Stakes at Ascot. With the ground easing I would be preferring the Listed race as it make sense to start off at five furlongs after he has over a year off. He is not short of speed and the stiff five might suit him first time up this year. Obviously, we would love to win but it's about getting him back on track. He is showing a lot of his old sparkle at home now and I am looking forward to seeing him back on the track."
