Stable Tour Quotes
Willie Mullins (11 February 2026): "I'm always happy enough with his jumping. It's more or less about getting him right and he came right for the Dublin Racing Festival. Mark is happy with him and all roads lead to the Champion Chase."
Willie Mullins (08 October 2025): "The plan is to start him off in the Hilly Way Chase. It was a big surprise to us that he made the jumping mistakes that he did at Cheltenham. It wasn’t like him at all. We just want to work out whether jumping at two-mile pace is an issue for him, whether we got the riding tactics wrong or whether it was just a one-off. Our inclination is to start him off over two miles and if he jumps well, he might well stay at around that trip. If his jumping hints that he might need a change, we have the option of going up with trip. He looks stronger than ever this season."
Willie Mullins (06 February 2025): "He’s a fantastic horse. He looks a really nice horse in the making and he’s only a five-year-old. He does things so naturally. I was watching him with my binoculars at Leopardstown. He got a bit close to a few fences, but he did everything right when he did. I thought it was great he was learning on the job. He hasn't genuflected and he didn't have any real scares. When he wanted one at the third-last, bang, he flew it. I'm happy with his jumping and I'm happy he learned a lot. Funnily enough, last week I wanted to school him, and Mark Walsh wasn’t around, so I said to Paul Townend to get up on him, which he wouldn’t normally do. Paul got down off him and he just couldn’t get over the power of him, so Paul was very taken with him and his schooling at home. When you impress someone like Paul, I thought that was a huge statement on a schooling morning"
Willie Mullins (23 January 2025): "Majborough is in great order and looks like Arkle material. He handled Leopardstown very well, so we’re happy to go back there with him. I was very impressed with him. When you have a horse of that calibre, I don’t enjoy watching them as much, my heart is in my mouth watching him putting in those spectacular jumps. You’re waiting for the worst to happen!"
Willie Mullins (28 November 2024): "He’s going novice chasing. The first day he walked into the place, I said to JP that he looked a fully-fledged chaser already. He was such a big, mature horse. I can’t wait to see him over a fence. Four-year-olds don’t get quite the allowance that they used to, but that doesn’t worry me. His schooling over fences has been very good. I’d be open minded about what his best trip might prove to be."
Willie Mullins (17 April 2024): "He’s gone home to Martinstown for the summer. He’s a big, beautiful horse that is really one to look forward to next season. I’d imagine he’ll go novice chasing."
Willie Mullins (25 October 2023): "He’s a lovely looking horse. He has great presence. A big, chasing type of horse. He won a good class of race and I think he could be a top juvenile hurdler. Looking at him, he could be a top chaser."
