George Boughey (10 June 2026): "Hopewell Rock is in the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap and I think he’s got a live chance. This race has been the plan from before the November Handicap last year. He got very colty at Doncaster that day after a long year having had a couple of minor niggles through the summer. He had a tooth infection, a sinus and we thought he was a horse for Royal Ascot last year. He was just ready to start at Newmarket, and he ran with credit on his comeback and they left his mark alone. He looks a picture now."
George Boughey (13 April 2026): "He was a progressive horse last year before finding heavy ground in the November Handicap way too soft for him. He’s been gelded since, and we’re not in a huge rush with him. He’s a horse who wants a mile and a half on a big galloping track, and we could try and get him to the Guineas meeting. There is a nice handicap for him, but the middle of the summer is where we want to see him at his best, and he could be one for the Duke Of Edinburgh Handicap at Royal Ascot in June."
George Boughey (14 April 2025): "He will probably run at Newmarket on Guineas weekend, and he has an entry in both the Dante and the Derby, so I am looking forward to seeing him back on the track. It was good to see him winning his two starts at two, as he was an immature horse, and the further he goes the better he’ll be."
