Finished third, beaten three quarters of a length, to Boiling Point in the Listed Festival Stakes at Goodwood (1m 2f) on his reappearance in May. Best effort last season when an unlucky-in-running fourth, beaten a length and a half, to Haatem in the Listed Wolferton Stakes at Royal Ascot (1m 2f) in June.

Trainer says

Enfjaar runs in the Wolferton on Tuesday. He was unlucky in the race last year when finishing fourth as he met interference turning for home and he is the same form. He had a prep race in the Festival Stakes two weeks ago and ran well when finishing third. He needed a run, has tightened up and he will go back for the Wolferton. He goes on any ground and he’s a good horse.

Winner of two of his 9 starts and currently rated 103. Gained his last success at Haydock (1m) last September when scoring by four and a half lengths from First Ambition off a mark of 90. Subsequently fourth, beaten two and a half lengths, to Ice Max in a listed race at Nottingham (1m 1/2f) in October.

Trainer says

Fondo Blanco will be having his first run of the year in the Buckingham Palace Stakes, but he could go well when fresh. He’s in great from and he maybe is a bit high in the handicap but could run a nice race.

Made a pleasing reappearance in a valuable handicap at Newbury (1m) in May when runner-up, beaten a neck, to Classic off a mark of 95.

Trainer says

We won the Hunt Cup last year with My Cloud and we were third the year before with Perrotto and I like Indalo’s profile for the race. He’s a hardy horse and is still progressive. He was runner-up in the Cambridgeshire last year and runner-up on his reappearance at Newbury when he was about 90 per cent. He’ll be 100 per cent at Ascot.

Impressed on his reappearance in the Group 2 Yorkshire Cup at York (1m 6f) in May when scoring by two and a quarter lengths from Al Nayyir.

Trainer says

Rahieebb is in the Gold Cup, and I hope he’s as good on the Thursday of Royal Ascot as he is today. He looks terrific and I want the next two weeks to go as well as everything has gone for him all year. He hasn’t put a foot wrong and was a good winner of the Yorkshire Cup. He looks bigger, strong and more professional this year. If he gets the trip, he’s got to have a chance. You never know with the Ascot Gold Cup, but I think he is a stayer and he was just getting going heading to the line in at York. I think he’ll stay.

Trainer says

In the last race on Tuesday, the Copper Horse Handicap, we have Ride Of Thunder. He’s not guaranteed to get a run but if he got in, he would go there with a sporting each-way chance. He was third and I think the winner of the race will actually take a bit of beating in the Copper Horse, William Haggas’s Valiancy. My horse needed the race and ran well and that put him right for Ascot. If he didn’t get in, he would go for the Northumberland Plate at Newcastle.

Trainer says

I haven’t quite decided what I am doing with Saddadd yet. He is in the Prince Of Wales’s. He would be one of the outsiders with Daryz and Ombudsman who are two of the best horses in the world in the race, but the race might cut up a bit behind the front two. He won the Gordon Richards well and just got a little bit of out of his ground following the favourite in the Tattersalls Gold Cup in Ireland, but he hit the line strong.

Finished sixth, beaten four and a quarter lengths, to Lost Boys in the London Gold Cup at Newbury (1m 2f) in May off his current mark.

Trainer says

Al Azd will go for the King George V Handicap on the Wednesday. He ran in the London Gold Cup last time and didn’t run badly but the trip was a bit sharp for him and sort of everything went wrong. He had won his previous two starts and won very well at Doncaster on firm ground over a mile and a half. That’s his game fast ground, and a mile and a half and if it’s a dry week at Ascot, I think this race will really suit him. He’s off 92 which is a good mark, and he’s got experience which you need for that race.

Trainer says

Avicenna goes for the Jersey Stakes on the Saturday. He ran no sort of race in the 2000 Guineas, but he had done nothing wrong before that. He won his two starts last year and the form is very strong and finished second in the Craven. I think he may have bounced in the Guineas as the trial came very close. Sometimes a horse can come forward and perform and sometimes you think they’ve come forward, and they just don’t show up. He was fine after the Guineas, and he is starting to look really well and is working really well. Hopefully, he can bounce back in the Jersey.

Made a winning debut in a fillies’ maiden at Newcastle (1m) in April when scoring by six and a half lengths from Ziata and followed up with a three and three quarter length win from Romance Spirit when long odds-on for a fillies’ novice at Wolverhampton. Finished fourth, beaten two lengths, to Annastarzy in a fillies’ handicap at Thirsk (1m) at the end of that month off her current mark.

She won her first two starts and was fourth at Thirsk where she was drawn 11 of 11 on her first run on the turf. She hit the line strong but just couldn’t reel them in. She will be suited by a stiff mile at Ascot, and she would go there with an each-way chance.

Finished runner-up, beaten three quarters of a length, to Black Star Boy on his reappearance at Sandown (5f) in April off a mark of 91.

Trainer says

Calico Blue runs on the Friday in the Holyrood House Handicap for three-year-olds over five furlongs. He ran a very good second at the Sandown bet365 meeting in April where he was a little unlucky and the stiff five at Ascot will suit him. He goes into the race in good form and is another with an each-way chance.

Trainer says

We have a nice horse in the Golden Gates Handicap called Knights Charge. He’s raced three times - finished third on his only start at two and he won both his novices’ this year. He beat quite a progressive horse of Harry Eustace’s at Nottingham a few weeks ago and he’s got an opening mark of 93. He is a very laid-back horse I think he’ll handle the preliminaries at Royal Ascot. They have to handle that at Ascot, and I could see him running well in that race.

Trainer says

Wechaad is quite a nice horse we have in the Britannia Handicap. He was third in the Horris HIll as a two-year-old and was fourth on his comeback run at Goodwood. The first three home were drawn 2, 5 and 3 and my horse was drawn 15 and was the only one from a wide draw to run a race and make up any ground from the back. I thought it was a really good run and the race will bring him on. Going up to a mile should suit him and, with his experience, I think the Britannia could play to his strengths.
