Vire Horse Racing Tips

Not the most fortunate at Vincennes last month, Philippe Allaire's talented NORTHERN WAY (4) returns to racing shod, will be partnered by Yoann Lebourgeois for the first time, and has a realistic chance of winning this. The Duvaldestin clan, however, sends out the promising NAYA D'ERONVILLE (6) who will have come on for her return run. NASHIRA DRY (8) confirmed her excellent December qualification with debut victory at Angers in January and will also have her chances.

Wonderfully-engaged and winner over course and distance just 3 weeks ago, LISON DES GLENAN (9) steps up in category but can still win this. As consistent as they come, LA FLECHE (8) has shown a liking for Vire conditions, has been reconfigured, and returns to the discipline with a decent chance of filling 1 of the 3 steps on the podium. LOU DE LANGE (7) has not imposed since December 2024 but she has otherwise been acquitting herself competitively and looks a player. Eliminated under harness here early last month, L'AS RUSH (3) switches code for the first time and looks sharp enough to give this a good go.

MESANGE DU RIB (14) got off the mark on her comeback over 2800m here early last month and, even though handed a rough number, still looks thoroughly capable of repeating. Also on the back line, MADU JOSSELYN (10) lost her maiden status in early-January at the first time of asking, and will come here fresh. In the frame in her last 4 starts, MARIE DES BAUX (8) will be barefoot for the first time and in the hands of Franck Nivard will be no shrinking violet. MELODY MADJI (7) steps up in category after running 2nd in an Angers Class F 3 weeks ago and will not be sent out at 19-1 this time.

Considerably better than his formcard would suggest, a reconfigured MAHATMA DANICA (3) takes a dip in category and, with application, can win this from the 3-slot. He will still encounter opposition from the more widely-drawn, but promising, MONSIEUR DARLING (7) who is competitively-shod for the first time, and the better-positioned MAESTRO D'IDEE (2) who will be barefoot following a pair of conditioners. MYSTERE DES ARRIS (12) was still going strong when eliminated at Argentan last month and the new formula may be just the ticket to his redemption.

Nicely-engaged here, and plainly enjoying a productive run of form, JOYEUX NONNA (17) will be reunited with Yoann Lebourgeois who won with him at Mauquenchy in January, and is easy to like for a 2nd Vire success. He will still meet resistance from JOG JELOCA (10) who has been thriving over recent months, and JACK QUICK (15) who is clearly close to his race. JACK SURPRISE (18) returns to the harness code for this excellent entry and, if still on the boil, can finish close.

Runner-up at Vincennes in January, and again at Nantes last weekend, KEROSEN DU GERS (16) will have every chance of winning this provided he stays is stride. A winner here last summer, KOBRA JENILOU (10) returns to racing right-handed after failing to deliver at Vincennes earlier in the month and, 25m better off, will have his chances. KALINE DE COSSE (14) has won 3 of 4 starts this year and even though incurring the penalty still looks a serious proposition. Charles-Antoine Mary could not have wished for a better entry for KANCALAIS (18) who has taken particularly well to racing in his present formula.

LABEL GEMA (3) has not been seen out since November but he is barefoot for the occasion, takes on a less-exalted lot this time, and the draw only enhances his already good prospects. After placing at Saint-Brieuc in January, LAMENTIN (10) was most unlucky at Nantes last weekend and Pierre Houel will be eager to put things right. Runner-up at Angers before failing to deliver at Le Croise-Laroche last Monday, LYS PETTEVINIERE (1) will appreciate returning to racing clockwise and has been reconfigured. LASCAUX DU PERCHE (4) left a very good impression on his recent re-entry and should not be underestimated.

He may not be the easiest of horses to use but JIPET DE CREPIN (17) ran out an impressive winner in Paris early last month and can repeat if kept focused. IDOLE JALLERIE (11) returns to a track she likes on a hat-trick and, with form maintained, is unlikely to disappoint. Sent for a break after winning 2 straight last autumn, JERENAL D'HAMELINE (12) will be barefoot following his comeback run and makes his Vire debut with every chance of finishing close. JOKER DU CHOQUEL (3) is 25m better off though, won over course and distance in November, and in present form is very hard to ignore.
